Welcome to The BodyPop Questionnaire, where a special guest answers questions and gives recommendations that are “a little body image, a little pop culture!” If you’re interested in being featured, head on over here! 📝 I’d absolutely love to have you! 💗
Hi, Everyone! I’m so happy to introduce you to this week’s special guest, Caraline! This sweet gal definitely has a Substack-shaped place in my heart; she’s been a supporter of Uncle Ronnie from the beginning! Caraline’s a TALENTED actress who you can find on Instagram showing her love of animals. (You’ll also see this in her social media rec…I def went into a bit of a rabbit hole on this one!)
And so, it is my pleaszh to introduce Caraline!
Please introduce yourself. Tell us ANYTHING you'd like, including where you're located and how you take your coffee!
Caraline! Connecticut! Oatmilk and caramel!
Is there a type of clothing or specific outfit you wear that makes you feel the most comfortable in your body?
Flowy dresses.
Is there a type of movement you enjoy - walking the dog/taking an exercise class/etc.?
Pole dance class.
What's the difference between how you view your body now, as opposed to how you viewed it when you were younger?
I was insecure despite being super skinny. Now, I am no longer super skinny and have “traditional” flaws that bother me. I used to not exercise at all because I was too weak and embarrassed. Now I exercise because I am weak/to gain strength.
Who's your "Body Icon" - aka a celebrity you admire for or whose influenced you in how they handle body image - and why?
Lana Del Rey! She used to be super skinny and then became a weightlifter.
