Those pink gloves!!! and how you styled everything is so good and inspiring!

So hear me out. Peloton isn’t super body inclusive, BUT they have so many different types of classes I never get bored. Depending on how I feel in the morning, I’ll run or walk on my treadmill (I only have the app, no equipment), yoga, Pilates, or strength training (there’s always good music to accompany), cardio dance, or even running or walking classes for outdoors to keep you company. I can stack classes depending on what I want (I.e. 10 min core, 10 min arms, 20 min of yoga). They also have meditation. There are also a ton of instructors too so you can try a lot of different folks out. So there’s my suggestion! Peloton literally saved my life. Silly I know but the truth.

Or, you could take your tap dancing and put those little clacker things on the bottoms of cute shoes like Mike did in the above video!

Oh thank you re: the clothes! *Sigh* that video of Mike...such a cutie. 💗 Tap was so much harder than I expected! Ya know, this actually isn't the first I've heard about how amazing the Peloton app is, but no one ever went into details so thank you for sharing all of that! I think my boyfriend gets the app for free through his job so maybe I'll give it a whirl. I didn't know about stacking the classes or about the "calmer" stuff too - walking classes, yoga, etc. I imagined it was only being on the bike and the teacher like - yelling at you lol! So thank you for this - I'm definitely going to check it out - can't hurt since I have access to it for free!

They are so kind! They lovingly “yell” but mostly you feel like they’re your best friends. They’re really funny too and my fave, Adrian, isn’t bad to look at either ❤️‍🔥

So I downloaded the app (you're right about Adrian!) and I'm going to give it a whirl this week. It REALLY looks great - SO much variety which is exactly what I want...I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually looking forward to trying it!

I wonder if I can still send you a 60 day free trial? Or maybe that’s what you’re doing?

Oh, that's SO nice of you! But I actually have it for free! I double checked with my boyfriend who hadn't logged in for a while, so we took a peek and whatever his subscription is through work - it looks like some classes are free and some aren't. (Don't know if that has to do with the type of subscription they gave him?) I'm going to try the free ones first and if I stick with it, I'll see about getting a paid subscription!

I went to see Vertigo with my boyfriend for one of the live philharmonic orchestra concerts in january and it was SO fun!!

also my favorite form of exercise is walking haha. I feel you about exercise. I want to find some low impact gentle exercises!

LOL SAME on the walking! Plus, it's TOTALLY the most low impact, you can listen to a podcast, etc. Oooh, Vertigo must've been INCREDIBLE. Isn't it just such a special experience? Just something really fun and different to do and you're seeing the movie in a whole different way!

Love seeing your beautiful self! Thank you for sharing! And I bet you would be a killer tennis player since it's in your genes. I've played my whole life and I love it and it's addicting!!

Ah, thank you! How cool that you play tennis! I SO wanted to play again because I agree - it can be totally be addicting. But to rent a tennis court in NYC just for an hour is almost $200! 😲 Crazy, right?!

1. You look great! and happy :)

2. Getting a classpass subscription last year was a game changer, I made it my challenge to try EVERYTHING near me. Some days there were misses, but I loved that each day was a surprise. And I kept my favorites (Pilates & Barre). Another thing it helped was to mix my true loves ( books and shows) while doing exercise - I have my treadmill guilty pleasures and I love those 45 minutes of my day so much!

Thank you, this is all so helpful! I tried ClassPass and got so discouraged when I didn't like something, so I think it could be a good idea to try what you did which is find what I like and do those. (Plus it's way more affordable than other options!) For your second idea, I'm thinking maybe I can find a show I love that I ONLY use for gym time and that way I'll actually look forward to it? This has me thinking...thank you! 💗

That's what I have: Treadmill shows !!( almost always cheesy hallmark or reality TV) - I try to not say it like that because it's kind of restricting, so might be problematic for some, but, hey, it works for me!

Lol no, I think that's an AMAZING way to go about it! I'm going to think of some shows (love a cheesy Hallmark special) or a podcast I've been wanting to try and see how it works if I ONLY use it for exercise time. *fingers crossed*

1.) You look gorgeous in both of those photos.

2.) I loved what Tania said about bundling movement with some sort of treat or thing you really enjoy. I am a person who actually loves exercise but that was not always the case - it took years of trial and error to figure out what things I love and what I will actually stick to - and when I'm not actively exercising, I like to be at rest, so your point about what your hobbies are (reading, watching stuff) really resonated with me!

1) Thank you! and 2) Yah, I love the idea of a little 'movement bundle.' Like, it gives me something (a treat, prezzie, etc.) to look forward to. Thanks for sharing your experience about having to go through some trial and error...sometimes I feel like other people just naturally like exercise but it's good to know that sometimes you need to take time to figure it out!

LOVE the photos, gorgeous & stylish as ever!

I so appreciate your tidbits of pop culture, because they’re outside my status quo & thereby expanding my perspective which is healthy to do!

Some “take it or leave it thoughts on movement” from moi: you are fun & quirky so channel that into movement, maybe make a movement bingo card of things you’d like to try & attach a reward of sorts to a “bingo!”

Love reading & buying actual books; make a list of independent booksellers (new &/or used) find an acceptable walking route to visit, get a feel for the vibe of the neighborhood. I enjoy doing this with unique coffee shops, get some steps in & a delicious caffeinated beverage.

Discover a new park or green space with a stroll, picnic & a book, could do this while biking too.

Thinking of yourself as an adventurer & movement is the exploration. Make a stack of cards with movement ideas & pull a card, likewise, pulling a folded slip of paper from a hat or jar full of ideas.

Sunday evening look at your week ahead & schedule mindful movement into your days, varying the length & times if you’re not interested in a routine.

Go back to the 80’s sticker/reward charts & buy some fun shiny/glittery/puffy/smelly stickers to put on a calendar or day timer for each time you’ve done some sort of movement AND at the end of a week or month behold the colourful collage you’ve created.

Sometimes I just throw on music & dance around the house as I take care of those mundane chores. I also have yoga poses that I love & will just roll out my mat & do those for whatever chunk of time makes sense. I save my fav Handsome podcast for the treadmill or bike. Sometimes we just need to bundle movement with other things we enjoy & we’ll begin to associate that joy with the movement too 😊

May my rant of ideas 💡 spark some creativity within your fabulous brain that fuels your aspirations to move with ease & joy!!💜

Oh Tania, I LOVE this! THANK YOU for these suggestions...I love the idea that I should channel my personality into movement...I think that's why silly things like jazzercise appeal to me...I'll keep looking into fun stuff like that. And I also love the idea of like, a "movement bundle." So a walk to the bookstore (exercise) + buying a book (a prezzie for myself), or some kind of movement (bike) + Handsome (fun podcast) + an iced coffee from wherever I bike to (YUM). Oooh, this is getting me thinking of some things I can do. Thank you as always for your thoughtful ideas! 🤗
