You NEED to get into Bridgerton!!

On your note, recently I was on a fitness class and the teacher told the class, Come on ladies, lets get that bikini body ready for summer! And when I tell you most of the women in the class scoffed in disapproval!!! I loved witnessing that! There's a definite shift in discourse. Slowly but surely we'll get there.

I’m so glad to hear this. Whenever I hear that stuff I let my fiercest glare loose.

It never even occurred to me to do that, but it makes me WANT to take a class just so I can give a mean-mug to the teacher! (Although I HAVE been considering trying a pole dancing class...but I prolly won't be able to give a mean look there since it feels like they're way more body positive, which is a good thing!)

OMG, it makes me SO HAPPY peeps didn't approve of that bikini body BS! Thank God for this shift...slowly but surely is right! I think I'll try Bridgerton b/c not ONE person has been like, "Meh." But EVERYONE has been like, "DO IT!" Lol.

I hope you try a pole class if you’re interested! And I hope you tell us about it.

For what it’s worth: I loved the first season of Bridgerton and have not been able to get into the rest of it. 🥴

Oooh, this is interesting! Okk, I'll keep that in mind. Yah sometimes the first season is the best one!

Yes. I so feel you. I couldn’t embrace what has become one my most important mental health strategies, movement, until this exact mindset shift.

I don’t want Bethenneys TikToks so I don’t know if this is playing on an exact one but I know it’s exactlyyyy right.

Nothing more precious than that dog and baby 🥹

J Law does something to me every time. I feel calm. I feel happy. I feel seen.

And yesss to The Bear. My sons school has a parent night out this Friday and instead of us going on a date, date, my husband and are just gonna binge as much of The Bear as we can before 830p pickup 😂😂

I cosign everything you said here! (Espesh the dog and the baby? I mean....😌 And J Law being a Housewives superfan brings me complete and total joy.) Also, your date sounds like PERFECTION. 🤣 Plus, I feel like you can consider it a "date/special occasion" situation since this season is dropping all at once so it's more of an EVENT than just watching a regular ol' TV show!

1,000% about The Bear being a special occasion. we glanced at each other and were like as if we could do anything else right now.

🤣💯 PS...My bf and I can't start it until Friday (tomorrow) night and it's killing me...like, I feel like I have to stay off social media until we finish it?!

when i’m feeling down in the dumps and unmotivated by the idea of exercising every day, I like to remind myself that even if I exercise one day this week, that’s one more than I was going to do before. and that’s nice to know that i’m doing some extra movement for my body that will be good for me. and I wasn’t going to do that before, but now I am

Ugh, I LOVE what you're saying here. I've been realizing that I tend to shame myself if I don't move on a day when I intended to. So I think I'll take your advice here and look at it in a more positive way when I DO move. Like the other day, I went on an extra long walk with my pup.

That counts as movement! Your comment is a really good reminder of this. 💗

Yessss. Thank you for sharing that nugget of wisdom. After lifting weights my legs feel like tree trunks. It’s amazing. Please let us know how the call goes!

Lol I know - I feel like thinking about how good I'll feel in my body is a bigger motivator than someone like - screaming at me in a class that it's beach season so I need to shape up. No thanks! 🙅‍♀️

Yes to Bridgerton! Also, I’m super grateful for your pop culture run-downs as it saves me so much time. 🤣Jennifer Lawrence is 👌🏻

Lol how fab is Jennifer Lawrence?! I think I'll try Bridgerton...If I do, it'll be kind of amazing b/c I'll have so much to watch so it'll be such a treat!

Yes yes yes to all of this! I've always had a fraught relationship with movement. Try as I have many times to take up running, it never feels like anything other than the worst thing in the world. And it's so hard to divorce yourself from exercise = calories out. Very difficult to not complete a workout and think, "I should be skinny now!" Lol! I started yoga last December and the community has been life-changing in regard to how I view movement. Like, yeah, I haven't lost weight, but no one in the studio is presenting the classes in a way that makes that the goal. And I love it! (Also: you SHOULD watch Bridgerton! <3)

OMG I totally agree that running is just - NO. Yah - it seems yoga is more about the presence you feel in your body (as opposed to losing weight) so that may be something I look into b/c it seems like a healthier mindset, so I'm happy you're confirming! TOTALLY think I'm gonna watch Bridgerton...everyone is so into it!
