’m quite literally shook that you got that email from the spin studio, WTF! I love that Sophia Loren print, I cannot BELIEVE Barb commented that, like actually cannot believe.

Still have not tapped into Below Deck but it’s on the list. I love love love those drive by kindness TikTok’s, complimenting people is sooooo awesome. I want those Larry David sweats RIGHT NOW, better yet a dad hat maybe? *heading to Etsy*

Yah can you BELIEVE that spin class?! It was so awful. πŸ‘Ž LOL a dad hat!!! AMAZING! I've had my eye on those sweats for like a year...I may just pull the trigger already. Aren't those drive-by's the best? I always choke up when I see them because it's just so pure and wholesome, and you can see it just makes people's day!

That Sophia Loren print is perfect! My husband just asked me today, "If you had to eat one food every day, what would it be?" and I didn't even have to think about it. Pasta. The answer is pasta.

Caring less about others’ esteem is a PROJECT πŸ˜‚ the pathological people pleaser in me is horrified by the idea that not everyone is my biggest fan. I try to remember that not everyone is my target audience / target customer, meaning their perception of me is irrelevant. Some approval is simply not worth chasing.

OMG, I couldn't agree more...it IS a TOTAL project...it's just a lot of effort that can be exhausting. That last sentence you wrote, though - some approval is simply not worth chasing - OMG I want to make that my screensaver or something lol. My God, it's SO TRUE!

When I tell you I seethed when I read about that email. First, because of my day job. I work with user data, but I wouldn't in a million years approve this strategy. It's just stupid to demotivate a person like this. Second, as a normal person. I've never been as consistent as I am with exercise thanks to the shift of going all in vs doing something I like and makes me feel good without suffering or pain. It's been a year of moving my body and I'm still happy, motivated and still doing it!!

THIS IS SO INSPIRING! It's good to know you wouldn't approve a strategy like this. It made me feel SO defeated and I'm currently on the path of doing what you've already done - trying to find a form of movement that brings me joy, without having to go all in/come in 1st place in a spin class. So it's REALLY encouraging to hear it's possible to find something you like and that you can stick with...thank you so much for sharing that!!
